As a school assignment, I have been studying the official web sites of the countries of the world. I have been struck by how many cities/towns have a 'sister' city or a city/town with which they have twinned in another country. The questions that I would like to post are:
1 - Why do cities/towns do this?
2 - What do the cities/towns accomplish by doing this?
3 - What do the citizens of these cities/towns get out of doing this?
